Hoffman’s Marina is located just a quarter-mile inside of the Manasquan Inlet with easy access to the Intracoastal Waterway. They also manage three local restaurants, River Café, Waterman’s Tavern, and Waypoint 622, all within a five-to-ten minute walk from the docks.
I have stayed at Hoffman’s Marina several times for fuel and an overnight stay in one of their transit slips. The current is strong and I had to turn the boat around and used the engine to maintain my position while sliding to port and accomplished a Captain Ron docking maneuver. First time I ever did that.
We tied up on B Dock at the T-Head in Hoffman’s Marina so leaving out the morning was fast and easy. However, there is a commuter railroad track that divides the marina in half and our stay proved to be a noisy evening. The fuel dock was easy to access and the bathrooms were clean. I did not eat at the restaurants, swim in their pool, or use their laundry facility, but they are available for slip renters.
Visiting and Shopping in Brielle, NJ
Brielle has a population of 4,774 and a number of parks, sports fishing businesses, hotels, restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations.
There is not a grocery store within what I would consider “walking distance” from Hoffman’s Marina, but I did find a convenience store less than a mile west of the marina and I walked there in 15 minutes to buy a few things.
Brielle residents can commute to and from Lower Manhattan via the Seastreak Ferry NJ in Atlantic Highlands. Travel time from Atlantic Highlands to Wall Street is 45 minutes each way.
